Discounts Information - 2009-2010

On-Time Discount

A discount of $10 per student will be credited to accounts that are paid in full by the 10th of each month from September to May. No discount will  be applied in August.  If the 10th falls on a Saturday or Sunday, discounts will be given on accounts paid in full by the following Monday.  When the 10th falls on a holiday, discounts will be given on accounts paid in full by the next business day. Payment by mail must be in the business office by the discount day to be eligible for an on-time discount.

Family Discount

The following percentage discounts on tuition will be given: 5.00% for second child in family at LSA; 10.00% for third, fourth or fifth child in family at LSA.  To qualify for family discounts, two or more students must appear on a combined family statement.

Prepayment Discount

Payments made one year in advance before August 21, 2009, will be discounted by $30 per month for ten months; payments made one semester in advance by August 21, 2009, and January 20, 2010, will be discounted by $25 per month for five months.  

Electronic Payment and Discount

As a convenience, payments may be made electronically, through our Paytronic® payment system. LSA will make automatic deductions from a checking, savings, Visa or Mastercard account on the 10th of each month. A $5.00 monthly  discount (in addition to the on-time discount) will be given to each account on the plan. Online registration is required to participate.

Online Access/Payments

Payments may be made online via the LSA website. In addition, registrants can access billing and statement information. You can access Edline via the LSA website to view grades and attendance records.

Financial Assistance

The Business Office may be contacted for application and/or information on the Pacific Union Endowment Fund, Baybarz Education Scholarship and Conference Low Income Aid.

Work Opportunities

Limited student employment is available on campus for students 14 years of age and older. Wages are minimal and usually insufficient to pay tuition. Student job applications are available at the business office.

Educational Subsidy (SDA Organizations)

Educational allowance applications must be submitted to the employing organization and a signed authorization returned to the business office. Accounts will be credited after payments are received from the employer. Responsible parties should continue to make full payments on accounts until the business office has received payment.
